Fayette County Sheriff's Office Hosts
Law Enforcement Networking Breakfast
Fayette County Sheriff Bobby Riles and Shelby County Sheriff Bill Oldham.
On August 19, 2011 Fayette County Sheriff
Bobby Riles hosted a local area Sheriff's and Police Chief's breakfast at the
Main Street Eatery in Somerville. The breakfast is sponsored by Sheriff
Bill Oldham of the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. It is hosted in various
West Tennessee locations and allows for agency administrators to come together and discuss
issues they are facing within their departments. "Criminal don't just
stop at the county line or the city limits," commented Sheriff
Riles. Networking meeting such as this one provide the opportunity
for administrators to discuss crime trends, local challenges, and more
importantly, potential solutions. "It helps when you can put a face
with a name," stated Sheriff Riles referring to the need for agency heads
to stay in contact with one another about crime issues.
