Sheriff's Office Conducting DUI Checkpoints

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office will be increasing enforcement efforts to ensure the safety of the citizens of Fayette County.  Law enforcement officers will be conducting enforcement activities which will include Sobriety Checkpoints and Saturation Patrols at selected locations upon Fayette County's roadways.  Officers will concentrate their enforcement efforts on removing impaired drivers from Fayette County’s roadways, however, as non-compliance with safety belt and child restraint laws place people in danger, these laws will be vigorously enforced as well.  This program is funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
